4th Grade Artist Create Character Masks

4th Grade students studied the reasons for masks in various cultures.
They examined the characteristics and design elements of masks and interpreted their character traits. Then they designed paper masks that expresses 4 different character traits by using a variety of paper sculpting techniques, emphasizing mask features to express their specific character traits.
