Whale Branch Early College High School recently visited Bolden Elementary Middle School to engage with 8th grade students and their parents, highlighting the unique educational opportunities available at their institution. Many of the students in attendance are part of the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program, which prepares students for college readiness and success.

Bolden Elementary Middle School hosted the event, providing attendees with a welcoming environment and refreshments. Representatives from Whale Branch presented a comprehensive overview of the school's offerings, including the chance to earn college credits while still in high school. Chris Vasquez, an alum of Bolden Elementary Middle School reflected on his experiences at Whale Branch Early College High School and answered questions from the prospective students about high school life. 

The session also highlighted Whale Branch's robust Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) program, which fosters leadership and discipline among students. Additionally, the school's vibrant band program was showcased, emphasizing the importance of arts in education.

Students and parents were introduced to the wide variety of clubs and academic programs available for matriculation at Whale Branch. These include options in: STEM, humanities, and vocational studies, ensuring that every student can find a path that aligns with their interests and career goals.

The event concluded with a Q&A session, allowing parents and students to engage directly with faculty and current students, gaining valuable insights into the high school experience at Whale Branch Early College High School.
