Ms. Wynn's and Mr. Fanter's 4th grade class had an extraordinary opportunity to participate in a virtual visit with some of the most inspiring figures in STEM and space exploration. The STEMtoSpace 2024 event featured a live discussion with Science Educator and CEO of The Planetary Society Bill Nye, NASA Astronaut and U.S. Space Force Colonel Tyler N. Hague, and Chief of Strategic Basing at Space Operations Command Major Victoria Garcia.

Tommy McFly from the USO hosted the discussion, emphasizing the importance of supporting STEM education and inspiring the next generation of scientists and engineers. His dedication to fostering a love for STEM among students was evident, and his story resonated with many of the young participants.

During this engaging session, the students were captivated by the insights shared by these distinguished guests. Bill Nye, known for his enthusiastic approach to science education, explained key scientific principles and how they apply to everyday life. His passion for science left a lasting impression on the young minds, encouraging them to explore the wonders of the world around them.
